Bye Bye Amazon !

Since the 16/01/2019, the small ones like me cannot use anymore the Amazon API (Product Advertising API) ! It is now Impossible to get raw listing of video games, and display them through my web pages. No alternative. It really sucks, and it is brutal. The official reason is “business rationalization”… Hope they still have some cash.

Anyway, meanwhile debugging my code, I have updated the biblios Master System (1.63) and 32X (1.26). New variations for Sega Master System games, and even more youtube video for Sega 32X.

A new site for new adventures

I have finally decided to get the work done ! My old web site was very hard to maintain, so, I migrated it and rebuild it almost from the ground. It is now lighter, clearer (I hope so) and the game finder will be updated daily.

The biblios (game list) have been also updated, we some cool additions :

  • video can be added to all kind of games
  • action replay codes can be found on some Megadrive/Genesis 32X games
  • the inserts have been fixed and the source is now clearly identified
  • new Master System games variations
  • the Metal Slug saga for Neo Geo arrives !!!

I am still working on a simple & non-intrusive notification system, that will allow you to receive pings if your holy grail is somewhere on eBay.

Get back to work!

Time to get back to work ! Cartouche Power sees today one problem fixed and a new Neo Geo finder (version 0.5), with some new great additions : the end of King of Fighters serie (from 1997 to 2003), King of the Monsters 1&2, the legendary – and very expensive in AES Euro – Kizuna Encounter and Last Blade 1&2. The finder experienced some trouble with Priceminister indexing for some weeks. Data was not refreshed. Now the problem is fixed – sorry for the inconvenience.

I hope your vacancies were good !

Biblio Master System 1.61 : a more accurate finder

The biblio Master System 1.61 is available now. I added several visuals – from my personal collection – and by a new version of the finder. You have certainly pointed out that there are too many false eBay results for the Sega Master System. The cause is pretty simple : many of the games for this console have been released for the Game Gear and the Megadrive/Genesis too. The keywords research is so polluted.

The new finder uses today more efficiently the biblio data to avoid, as possible, the false results. I hope you will appreciate. The other biblios should benefit of this feature in near future.

New Biblio for Neo Geo 0.4

A new biblio (0.4 version) is available for Neo Geo here: biblio Neo Geo. I am nostalgic when I read the titles: Mark of the Wolves (which marked me like Street Fighter 2 in its time), and the beginning of King of Fighters serie. The finder has been slighty improved to manage better the search for AES/MVS games. Your help is welcomed 🙂

Here is the list of added games :

  • Ganryu
  • Garou : Mark of the Wolves
  • Ghost Pilots
  • Goal Goal Goal
  • Gururin
  • Irritating Maze (The)
  • Kabuki Klash
  • Karnov’s Revenge
  • King of Fighters ’94
  • King of Fighters ’95
  • King of Fighters ’96

The japanese holy grail : Bomber Raid

Few days ago, I received many gifts for my birthday. One of them should be interesting for you. My friend gave me a Mark 3 game, the japanese Master System console, but not an average one, THE most wanted : Bomber Raid ! This game is the last game edited in Japan for the console, in 1988, that’s why it is so rare – it is a good game too.

Vectrex biblio 1.13 released : video added

The Vectrex listing – I called it biblio – has been updated in 1.13 version. The finder has been upgraded too : among the current data – release year, insert, rarity – and the links to find a copy on the web, the collector will now watch a video I picked : review, tribute or fan film.

I hope this addition will relive some old memories and give more attraction for these old treasures !

New 32X finder 1.23 version

I publish today the 1.23 version of the exhaustive list of sega 32X games. 2 main updates:

The scans have been found on the german web site www.sega-club.com. I always try to scan my personal games, but sometimes they are not in perfect shape, and I am still looking for treasure like T-Mek or Kolibri. To make your navigation better, I think you should not wait the end of my quest 🙂

I respect the work of all collectors, and I indicate on all links the original source.

I hope you will enjoy the update.
